Dangerous dogs have been an ongoing problem on the island of Hawaii, particularly in Puna, where the impact of dangerous dogs presents a serious dilemma. Representative Ilagan is committed to addressing this issue for the future.

In pursuing this mission, he aims to clearly identify the characteristics of dangerous dogs and ensure that their owners face consequences. Although some dogs are feral, we are dedicated to tackling this problem to enhance community safety.

Our office, in collaboration with Representatives Tarnas and Nishimoto, along with a companion bill introduced by Senator Karl Rhodes, has introduced HB2058 to provide better assistance in this matter. We are currently accepting testimonies on this issue and encourage you to let your voice be heard.
